Diversity and Equity Programs

The Office of Diversity and Equity Programs is responsible for ensuring the college's compliance with university and college policies as well as federal, state and local laws pertaining to affirmative action, diversity and equal employment opportunity. To fulfill the office mission, the director serves as the 504/ADA and as the Title IX coordinator; serves on the Sexual Harassment Panel; co-coordinates the implementation of the college's Diversity Plan; and is a member of the Diversity Council and the Executive Committee for the Center for Diversity.

CUNY Diversity Grants

Applications are available for the Diversity Projects Development Fund (DPDF). The fund, sponsored by the Office of Recruitment and Diversity, is a CUNY-wide initiative established to assist in the development of educational projects, scholarly research, creative endeavors and professional activities, which promote diversity, multiculturalism and nondiscrimination. All current full and part-time members of the university instructional staff are encouraged to apply. The maximum grant amount is $5,000. Grant proposals must be postmarked and e-mailed no later than Oct. 28, 2011.
