About the Brooklyn College Events Calendar
The Brooklyn College Events Calendar offers a comprehensive listing of events, including lectures, workshops, performances, exhibitions and more. Users can search by date, event category or group, download event details to most personal calendar clients, and share events via Facebook, Twitter, e-mail and more.
The Office of Marketing and Communications, in partnership with Information Technology Services (ITS), produced this calendar. Communications and Marketing manages calendar groups and users, and sets policy for calendar use; ITS provides technical expertise.
Access and Submission of Events
The Brooklyn College Events Calendar is a publicly accessible website. Users are encouraged to visit the site often. The ability to enter and submit events for consideration is now open to the entire Brooklyn College community with a valid WebCentral ID. Simply log in to WebCentral, click on the eServices tab, and access the restricted administrative applications channel and complete the online form. The Office of Marketing and Communications will review all submissions regularly and publish events as appropriate.
In the coming weeks, you may look forward to new and improved functionality, including the ability to add digital images to illustrate events.
As the development of the Brooklyn College Events Calendar continues to evolve, we welcome your feedback. Please direct any questions or comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Brooklyn College Events Calendar was launched on November 22, 2011, and uses the open-source Bedework calendar software developed by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and and sponsored by the Jasig consortium (http://www.jasig.org/about).
