A select group of Dean's List students is eligible to apply to join the Honors Academy through the Dean's List-Departmental Honors Program.
Dean's List students are accepted into the academy at the beginning of their junior year and participate in honors courses, workshops on applying to graduate or professional school, and interdisciplinary seminars. They receive priority registration and individualized academic and career counseling and enjoy access to all academy facilities, including a lounge, study room, and networked computer stations.
To continue in the program, students must maintain a 3.50 grade point average and complete one Honors Academy course, which will most often be an honors section of a Core Studies course or one of the academyÕs interdisciplinary seminars.
The Dean's List-Departmental Honors Program welcomes applications from students of diverse cultural, ethnic, racial, and religious backgrounds.
