Throughout our scenic 26-acre campus, we offer a number of classrooms, lecture halls, and auditoriums at a highly competitive rate. Each classroom and lecture hall is equipped with SMART technology, which includes a projector and computer inputs, all accessible from the SMART podium at the front of every room. Discounts are offered to nonprofit organizations with proof of tax-exempt status.

Theaters

The Leonard & Claire Tow Center for the Performing Arts recently reopened as a premiere arts center in the heart of Brooklyn. With three major theater spaces, flexible event space, and state-of-the-art sound and lighting equipment, our events and rentals directly support the programmatic mission of Brooklyn College, and most importantly, the students and artists we work with.

Classrooms / Lecture Halls

Brooklyn College offers technologically advanced classroom space across a number of academic buildings. We have a multitude of standard 30-45–person classrooms with movable seating, and several lecture halls ranging in capacity from 68 to 288. Most classrooms are SMART appointed, featuring:

• Built-in ceiling-mounted video projector
• Sound system
• Sympodium interactive display tablet
• Projection screen (electric or manual)
• Separate dimmable high-hat lighting
• A lectern with built-in projection controls, flat-panel instructor computer display, PC, VHS/DVD player, amplifiers, and walk-up laptop video/sound connections
• Network connectivity to the lectern and projector
• Room-darkening window shades
• Wireless PowerPoint Remote Control

Some rooms have Digital Document camera to project documents, Sympodium interactive display at podium to facilitate recording sessions, and annotating projected image.

Outdoor Space

Brooklyn College boasts two beautiful quads: the East Quad, with its historic, red-brick buildings, and iconic clock tower, and the West Quad, home to the West Quad Center and a gorgeous, open green, dotted with trees. Both quads are available for rental, subject to event type and availability.
