LSAMP-Fellows Program—Sophomore Year

The LSAMP-Fellows Program, through a competitive selection process, offers 10 LSAMP fellowships each year. Selected LSAMP-Fellows join a faculty mentor’s laboratory to gain research experience during their second year.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, a student must:

  • be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident;
  • have completed no more than two semesters of college;
  • have no more than 30 credits from Brooklyn College at the time of application;
  • be a member of a historically underrepresented STEM group, including but not limited to, Native American, African American, Hispanic/Latino and Pacific Islander;
  • have completed and passed the LSAMP-Apprentice Program seminar;
  • have a minimum GPA of 2.80; and
  • provide a brief research summary as part of the online application process.
