Career Counseling / Mock Interviews
Career Counseling
Our career counselors (also referred to as coaches) help you meet your career goals while at Brooklyn College. We can help with issues ranging from finding the right major, to finding an internship, to answering interview questions, to outlining the steps to let you plan and prepare for your career, throughout your time as a student.
Career counselors at the Magner Career Center can advise you on topics such as:
- helping outline the steps to begin discovering the career of your choice,
- which internships to apply for and where to find them,
- learning what skills are needed in your field of interest, and
- which careers are best suited to your major and your personality.
Mock Interviews
How well you do in an interview makes the difference in getting a job or not. We offer mock interviews to help you prepare for real interviews, and advise you on how to improve your performance.
The counselors at the Magner Career Center can help you prepare for an interview with a specific employer in your field and can possibly connect you with alumni or professionals from that organization or industry.
