Florence Rubinson is a professor and past chairperson in the Department of School Psychology, Counseling and Leadership as well as a New York and New Jersey State certified school psychologist, and a New York State licensed psychologist. As a founding member of the Association of Early Childhood and Infant Psychologists and president from 2002 to 2004, she continues to serve on various committees within the organization. She is the associate editor of the Journal of Early Childhood and Infant Psychology, published by Pace Press. Professor Rubinson is proud to be a founding and executive board member of the GLBT Advocacy and Research in Education (GLARE), a group in the School of Education engaging in research and advocacy in support of the LGBTQ community at Brooklyn College,in New York City schools, and on a national level.
