Studying abroad for a short term, semester, or a year helps strengthen your curriculum, provides global experience, expands your horizons and opportunities, allows you to learn or practice a foreign language, and earns credit toward your degree.

Seoul, South Korea

Taiwan

  • National Chung Hsing University (NCHU), Taichung City, Taiwan

  • Chinese language courses—All levels

  • $2,095 includes tuition, housing in a hotel with breakfast, insurance, and selected activities and excursions. Not included: flight and personal expenses.
    • NCHU is offering a stipend of approximately $700 to all the students once they arrive in Taiwan. Final cost: about $1,400!

Busan, South Korea

  • Pusan National University
  • July 1–26
  • Korean Language and Culture (three credits)

  1. Discuss your plans with a study abroad adviser.
  2. Submit your program information through the Brooklyn College WebCentral portal.
  3. Apply to your program of interest, if hosted by a partner university or a study abroad provider.
  4. Apply for scholarships.

Exchange and Semester-Long Programs

Study abroad exchange and semester-long programs offer students the opportunity to study for the spring or fall semester, or a full academic year. Indulge in the history and culture of the host country. Studying abroad helps strengthen your curriculum, provides global experience, expands your horizons and opportunities, allows you to learn or practice a foreign language, and earns credit toward your degree. Study Abroad Application Steps

  1. Discuss your plans with a study abroad adviser.
  2. Submit your program application / information through the Brooklyn College WebCentral portal. Once logged in, click on Academics, and then International Education. If you are from a different CUNY campus, create an account on BC WebCentral to proceed.
  3. Apply to your program of interest, if hosted by another CUNY campus or a study abroad provider.
  4. Apply for scholarships.
