The votes are in: Brooklyn College is among the best schools in the country. Once again, rankings of U.S. colleges and universities released by prestigious companies such as the Princeton Review and Forbes include Brooklyn College among the nation’s best.

With more than 100 languages spoken on campus and nearly as many countries represented among its student body, Brooklyn College is one of the nation’s most diverse. According to Diverse, a magazine dedicated to issues of diversity in higher education, it is one of the top 100.

Brooklyn College ranks among the top 10 schools in the United States for graduating African Americans with baccalaureate degrees in accounting and in the top 20 for African Americans with baccalaureate degrees in business administration and management. It graduates more African Americans than any other public institution in New York State and is among the 70 schools in the country that confer the most bachelor’s and master’s degrees to students from minority groups.

In today’s global economy, people from different cultures interact every day. A campus environment like that at Brooklyn College provides students with meaningful cross-cultural experiences in the classroom and on the Quad, preparing them for success in the workplace and in life.

In addition to the diversity of its student body, Brooklyn College is recognized for its value. According to Forbes magazine’s ranking of the nation’s 650 best undergraduate institutions, which “focuses on the things that matter the most to students: quality of teaching, great career prospects, graduation rates and low levels of debt,” Brooklyn College ranks among the top 10 comprehensive public institutions in New York State.

The college is also included among the 376 best colleges in the United States, according to The Princeton Review, which names it a Best Northeastern College.

Brooklyn College “is the perfect representative of Brooklyn that educates its students in an environment that reflects diversity, opportunity, and support,” The Princeton Review says. “Brooklyn College entices bright students looking for an affordable, quality, undergraduate experience.”

The Princeton Review also lists Brooklyn College on its list of the greenest colleges, which highlights the nation’s most environmentally responsible colleges based on environmental practices, policies and academic opportunities.
