In the event of a transit strike many members of the college community will need to find alternate means of transportation. Since many will choose to drive, the parking facilities in and around college will be severely strained. This combined with the anticipated overall increase in car traffic throughout the city, makes car-pooling or sharing rides an attractive option.
BC Share-a-ride is designed to allow you to register your willingness to volunteer car rides in a central database. People seeking rides or looking for car-pool partners can search the Share-a-ride database by zip code, boro, and other fields.
When entering cross streets, please use the following format standards:
Spell out Avenue, Street, Road, Place, etc..
Leave off "st" or "th" - as in 39th or 1'st - just enter the number alone
Enter the two streets in your cross-street in the two separate entry fields - don't combine them into one phrase
