Ability-To-Benefit Test (ATB)

Students are required to pass the Ability-To-Benefit test if they do not have a high school diploma or GED from the United States. The ATB regulation applies to all students who are first-time aid recipients in the 2006–07 academic year or thereafter.

Effective for the 2015–16 academic year, first-time recipients must take and pass an approved ability-to-benefit test by the first day of classes for a particular term to be certified for an award for that term.
