Campus Sustainability Council
Two advisory bodies at Brooklyn College are focused on sustainability issues. The two bodies consult with each other and together contribute to creating a sustainable institution and education for a sustainable future.
- The Provost's Task Force on City-Based and Sustainability Education (the "academic" council) is focused on developing a sustainability curriculum that is "city-based" and "community engaged."
- The Brooklyn College Sustainability Council (the "administrative" council) is part of CUNY's sustainability initiative and is charged with creating and implementing Brooklyn College's 10-Year Plan for sustainability. The council is primarily focused on facilities and operations and also has an education and outreach component. Each council member is also a designated "campus liaison" in his or her specific pillar area of expertise.
