Brooklyn College is an “Achiever” member of the REV Campus Challenge. Launched in fall 2015 as a program of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), the REV Campus Challenge promotes clean-energy efforts by recognizing and supporting colleges and universities in New York State that implement clean-energy projects and principles on campus. With 40% of New York State’s higher education institutions signed up, the REV Campus Challenge represents a wide range of public and private colleges and universities at the forefront of institutional sustainability. The REV Campus Challenge provides the support, resources, and recognition needed to meet the college’s sustainability and clean energy goals.

Brooklyn College, through Campus Sustainability, joined the REV Campus Challenge in April 2019. We are recognized as an Achiever member for our initiatives and efforts to improve energy efficiency and conservation. Achiever-level members are committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and have dedicated staff to focus on clean-energy investments.
