A native of Brooklyn, Dov Fischer earned his undergraduate degree at Yeshiva University of New York City and his doctorate at University of Colorado at Boulder. His technical accounting and finance publications complement his publications in ethics and leadership. One theme of his writings is that the excessive complexity of accounting systems and financial institutions has contributed to a crisis of ethical leadership. The solution to this crisis lies not in additional rules that will add even more complexity, but in a spiritual orientation of accounting practice and education. He has recently published in CPA Journal; Journal of Business and Economic Studies; Journal of Religion and Business Ethics; Journal of Biblical Integration in Business; Journal of Accounting, Ethics & Public Policy; Handbook of High Frequency Trading (book chapter); Journal of Corporate Accounting and Finance. Fischer is a CPA.
