The school
The Barry R. Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema is dedicated to facilitating access to a wide variety of filmmaking careers to a diverse body of students who bring new voices and perspectives to the field. Situated in a world-class facility at Steiner Studios — part of the largest film lot in New York — Feirstein is a collaborative-based program in which working with others lies at the core of students’ educational experience.
Feirstein’s community of faculty, industry professionals, and staff is passionate about storytelling. We are committed to helping students tell their stories by providing the tools, equipment, and instruction needed to achieve this goal. As a school within Brooklyn College, one of the senior colleges of the City University of New York, Feirstein is part of a long history of inclusive public education that has fostered and supported successful careers for almost a century.
If you want to tell your story through the medium of moving pictures, we invite you to join us at Feirstein. We will help you find your voice.
