Visiting Student Registration

  1. Choose Your Classes
    Browse (PDF) Summer Session offerings.
  2. Get Approved
    Get your summer courses evaluated and approved by the appropriate department at your home college prior to registration. You can find course descriptions needed for evaluation in Brooklyn College’s course bulletins.
  3. Apply
    Submit a visiting student application at Brooklyn College.
  4. Register
    Once your application is reviewed and approved, you will be ready to register for your classes. Registration is online through our CUNYfirst system.

Financial Aid

There are a lot of great reasons to take classes this summer, especially when there is money available to help you pay for them!

Year-Round Pell provides a bonus award to eligible students that can be used for summer tuition. To earn your bonus Pell, you have to be registered for at least six credits. This can be three credits in session I and three credits in session II.

Incoming Undergraduate Freshmen and Transfer Students

New undergraduate freshmen and transfer students are required to make an appointment with a CAASS advisor to register.

We encourage all continuing undergraduate and graduate students, non-degree students, and visiting students to consult with an advisor before registering for classes to make sure that you are on the right track to completing your degree requirements and to obtain class permission if necessary.
