International Programs & Study Abroad

Study Abroad and Open Up a World of Opportunities

Studying in a foreign country for a short term, a semester, or a year is one of the most exciting opportunities that Brooklyn College extends to our students. Incorporating international experience into your college education allows you to learn or practice a foreign language, strengthens your professional résumé, broadens your perspectives on the world, and creates lifelong memories while earning credits toward your degree.

Students can study abroad on any accredited program of their choosing. These programs could be offered by Brooklyn College, other CUNY schools, or private universities and organizations. There are hundreds of opportunities throughout the world. Grades and credits earned abroad from accredited programs can be applied toward graduation requirements. Financial aid and scholarships are available and may be applied to study abroad.

Carefully read the refund policy and deadlines of your program of interest.

Please register for classes at Brooklyn College to avoid missing out on your first-choice courses in case your study abroad plans do not work out.

All students studying abroad with other CUNY campuses or non-CUNY programs must communicate their interest and the progress of their application to the study abroad office at Brooklyn College. There will be no exceptions.
