The portfolio of the AVP for Budget and Planning consists of budget, purchasing, institutional research, institutional planning, and outcomes assessment. Information generated from this area supports college-wide decision making related to strategic planning and institutional effectiveness.
Budget and Purchasing staff play an integral role in the financial management of the tax levy budget. The Budget Office prepares financial plans, technical budget requests, and detailed financial summaries. They also maintain position control for full-time tax levy lines and monitor the tax levy OTPS budget. Purchasing provides professional procurement services to insure that goods and services are purchased at the best value, within the rules and regulations of the State of New York.
The Office of Institutional Planning, Research, and Assessment generates descriptive/analytical reports from institutional and external data, and coordinates institution-wide outcomes assessment. Additionally, they administer surveys, respond to external data requests, manage data, and conduct environmental scans.
