Areas of Expertise:
Louis Fishman works on questions dealing with Palestinian and Israeli history during the late Ottoman period, Palestinian-Israeli conflict, modern Turkey and late Ottoman history. He also has interests in construction of nationalism, state-building and historical narratives. In addition to his academic work, he regularly writes for Haaretz, and has written for other newspapers in the US, Turkey, and Israel. He divides his time up between NY, Istanbul, and Tel Aviv.
