CUNYfirst eProcurement Crosswalk Tool

As discussed in CUNYfirst eProcurement training, chartfields replace budget units to identify where expenses are to be charged. To facilitate this change, we developed a helpful crosswalk tool to assist users.

This tool can be accessed on our CUNYfirst eProcurement website. From this page, click on CUNYfirst Chartfield Crosswalk.

There is a text box located at the upper left hand part of the screen. You can enter anything you wish to search for in this box. This includes your old budget unit number or description. The search tool will show what we used in IFAS (our old system) and the equivalent CUNYfirst Chartfields.

We recommend that you bookmark the crosswalk, as you will likely need to reference it often. We also urge you to visit our website to view our growing knowledge base, consisting of documentation and presentations on CUNYfirst. The website is updated frequently, so check back often.

Internet Explorer 10 and the CUNYfirst eProcurement System

As mentioned in prior communications, there have been some reported problems with using Internet Explorer 10 and the CUNYfirst eProcurement system. While Firefox is still the browser of choice for CUNYfirst, we were informed by CUNY of a simple trick that may eliminate the error messages resulting from Internet Explorer’s default settings.

To check whether or not you have version 10, open Internet Explorer and go to Help > About Internet Explorer. The top line should indicate the version you have.

If you have version 10 and would like to change the default settings, do the following:

Go to Tools > Compatibility View Settings. Once there, check the box that says ‘Display all websites in Compatibility View’, then click Close.

The problems should be mitigated.
