Bruce MacIntyre, director of the Conservatory of Music and professor of music, teaches music history courses and seminars. He is also on the doctoral faculty at the CUNY Graduate Center. His articles and reviews have appeared in Current Musicology, Haydn-Studien, Music Library Association Notes, Die Musikforschung, Singende Kirche, The Cambridge Mozart Encyclopedia (ed. C. Eisen, 2005) and The Eighteenth-Century: A Current Bibliography. (American Society for Eighteenth-Century Studies). His books include Haydn: The Creation (New York, 1998) and The Viennese Concerted Mass of the Early Classic Period (Ann Arbor, Mich., 1986). The latter is considered a major survey of Viennese sacred music from the period. A recipient of grants from the German Academic Exchange, the former Martha Baird Rockefeller Fund for Music and the CUNY Research Foundation, he is also co-editor of Haydn's string trios for Joseph Haydn-Werke (Munich: Henle).
