Pedagogical Achievements
Over the years in the Department of Modern Languages and Literatures, I developed and/or implemented new courses, including CORE 3106; Landmarks of Italian Literature (3610); Business Italian (2432); Translation (3240), Italian Literature and Film (3810), Italy's Cities - A Multimedia Journey (3518) and I have updated offerings to be hybrid courses in furtherance of CUNY mandate to develop online teaching to improve access. Courses I have taught include Italian 1010, 1020, 1030 (the first three semesters of language instruction), 2021 (Integrated Language Skills) , 2030w (Advanced Language Skills), 2120 (Understanding Texts in Italian ), 3158, Early Italian Poetry (Italian 20.50, 3620), the Italian Short Story (22.50, 3622) and the 20th century Italian novel (21.50, 3621). I have also taught numerous times the Honors Seminar (84.1, 5084) on each of the following authors: Dante, Dante and his Sources, Montale, Lampedusa.
