Mona Hadler writes on postwar art and visual culture including essays on artists Lee Bontecou, William Baziotes and David Hare and articles on jazz in the visual arts, Pontiac hood ornaments and demolition derbies. The latter inspired her 2017 book, Destruction Rites: Ephemerality and Demolition in Postwar Visual Culture. Her current book is a co-edited anthology on gender, race and class in Pop Art.
