Yuri Arenberg joined the Economics Department of Brooklyn College in 1985. In 1992, he also became a member of Economics Ph.D. Program Faculty at the Graduate School and University Center of CUNY. During his career at Brooklyn College, Arenberg has thought numerous undergraduate and graduate courses, including Elementary Macroeconomics, Elementary Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Introduction to Economic and Business Statistics, Fundamental Methods of Mathematical Economics, Industrial Organization, and M.A.-level courses in macroeconomics, microeconomics and industrial organization.

Areas of Expertise:
Arenberg's current academic interests and research center on economic theory and number theory. He specializes in the areas of microeconomics, economics of uncertainty and industrial Organization. His publications focused on such topics as (1) the optimal product pricing under uncertainty, (2)the problem of overbooking, (3) uncertainty and profitability and (4) the effect of uncertainty on optimal harvesting of a renewable resource.
Professional Leadership
Elected to serve as an at-large delegate to Brooklyn College Faculty Council to represent the college's School of Business. Faculty Council is the college's legislative body responsible for, among other things, formulating policy pertaining to such significant issues as curriculum, admission and degree granting. 2012-15.
