Sharon A. O'Connor-Petruso is known for her work in both instructional technology and secondary analysis of large databases. Her research interests include exploring predictor varaibles that lead to high achievment in the hard sciences, integrating Web 2.0 tools and sourceware into the curriculum, the dearth of female mathematicians and scientists, and service learning initiatives. In Fall 2010 O'Connor-Petruso co-edited a textbook, was a sub-editor for a encyclopedia project, and co-athored two articles available online at www.jct.org and www.aect.org. As the 2007-09 CEP program head, she created the data aggregation assessment system for common course rubrics and course conveners, authored both the ACEI SPA Reports and achieved National Council of Accreditation of Teacher Education in July 2009. She teaches the top three capstone courses in the graduate program, created five wiki websites, and redesigned the courses in both hybrid and online format.
