A Message From Monique
Dear Students,
We hope that you are doing well with your midterms and as the number of quizzes and papers that you need to work on increase. Remember that if you begin to feel overwhelmed you can always reach out to us. We are here to help. We can also help to figure out problems, like forgetting to go to your TAG appointment or struggling with a class or paper.
I recently watched a video on how to study that talked about what to do if you fail a midterm as was as some very good tips on the ways to study so that you retain the knowledge that is most useful to you in your classes. It also talked about how to take effective notes. It's worth watching the whole series and trying to practice some of the suggestions made.
For your November engagement, please join us for the Exploring Holiday Traditions potluck on November 21. For those of you who are still undecided about your major or career, sign up for the Magner Career Center Exploring Majors and Careers Luncheon ASAP. We'd really like you to meet with us earlier in November and December, as the office will be closed for the holidays in late December and early January. We had fun in our October workshops on Scholarship and Professional Etiquette.
We hope to see you soon. Don't forget that you can stop by for coffee, tea, and a snack anytime between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday!
Take care,
Monique Ngozi Nri
