I was born and raised in Southern California, and received my bachelor's degree in English from UC Berkeley. Before returning to graduate school to study philosophy, I worked as a database programmer and technical manager.

Areas of Expertise:
Logic and philosophy of mathematics. Moore has published on nonstandard analysis and on the philosophy of set theory. His current research concerns the philosophy of mathematics of the American philosopher C.S. Peirce.
