While pursuing her Ph.D., Christine Vitrano was an ethics fellow at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She was a visiting professor in the philosophy department at the City College of New York before coming to Brooklyn College.

Areas of Expertise:
Christine Vitrano's main areas of research are value theory, ethics and bioethics. Her dissertation was on contemporary philosophical theories of happiness. She co-edited an anthology of classic and contemporary readings on happiness that was published by Oxford University Press. She is currently working on a book, The Nature and Value of Happiness, which is scheduled by be published by Westview press next year.
