Svetlana Vlady has experience in teaching economics, accounting and finance. She previously taught undergraduate and graduate students at Griffith University in Australia and master's students at the Academy of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). Her research interests include finance, accounting, environmental sustainability and applied statistics with particular interests and implications for the oil and gas industry. Recently, she enjoys research in the areas of creative teaching and mentoring students. Her articles are published by international leading journals, and her research papers have been presented at various international conferences. Her research findings have been reported in a number of websites. She has international practical experience as an external auditor in audit-consultancy firms and chief accountant in research-production companies.
