BUSN 7284X Text Analytics for Business

The course introduces the fundamentals and foundations of text analytics and unstructured information management. The objective of text analytics is to enable better decision making by extracting valuable insight from enterprise information, regardless of the source or format. Content analytics can help organizations surface undetected problems, eliminate content-centric process inefficiencies, improve customer service, reduce operating costs and risks, and discover new revenue opportunities. The course is a combination of lecture, case studies, hands-on exercises, and projects.

Prerequisite: Business 7278X
