Veronica Manlow is Associate Prof. of Business Management in the Murray Koppelman School of Business. Current research investigates luxury labor performed by artisans in ateliers and factory workers in large conglomerates and considers the interactional dynamics involved in luxury selling. She wrote Designing Clothes (2007/2009/2018), co-edited Global Fashion Brands: Style, Luxury, History (2014) and was a section editor of The Fashion Business Reader (2019). She is a co-editor of the Routledge Companion to Fashion Studies (2021) and a co-author of Crafting Luxury: Craftsmanship, Manufacture, Technology and the Retail Environment (2022). She was guest editor of a special issue on luxury production in Design, Business & Society (2018). She is co-editor of the Luxury Studies journal (2022). She is one of the organizers of the international IPOL conference. She is the academic director of the Blackstone LaunchPad in Brooklyn College's Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Areas of Expertise:
Manlow's research explores social representations created by luxury and mass marketed brands through incorporation of cultural signifiers. She teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in leadership, research methods, gender in the workplace, fashion marketing and multicultural marketing, and is the program director since 2016 of the American Business Management and Finance Program, a summer program for international graduate students.

Currently involved in research on marketing in the luxury fashion industry. Conducting research on customer service satisfaction in luxury stores in conjuction with the Luxury Institute, an independent luxury marketing research firm, and with the assistance of Brooklyn College students studying fashion marketing and research methods in the Department of Economics. 2010
