Areas of Expertise:
Hejtmanek investigates the ideologies and practices that encourage self transformation in various social contexts. She is currently investigating how branded functional fitness regimens and frameworks shape individual experiences of self and body, and how branded functional fitness is shaped by social context. Hejtmanek has also studied various healing frameworks, including hip hop and psychiatric, in youth psychiatric custody in the United States.
