New Student Registration

Students who are entering Brooklyn College for the first time through the Office of Admissions receive student-group specific registration information and instructions in their acceptance materials.

All new undergraduate first-time degree-seeking first semester freshmen and transfer students are required to register in person with an advisor, by appointment. Students select an appointment through the Self-Managed Appointment Registration Tool (SMART); instructions for doing so are included in the acceptance materials. At registration, students will attend a half-hour student success workshop, see an advisor to plan their course schedule, enroll in courses, and receive other information and services to ensure a smooth transition to Brooklyn College.
