Yedidyah Langsam, AEMT-P, is the Murray Koppelman Professor (2004-06), chairman of the Computer and Information Science Department and member of the faculty of the Computer Science Department of the CUNY Graduate Center. Langsam's research interests include medical and respiratory care informatics, multimedia, data structures and Jewish nedical ethics. He has published widely, including several textbooks that have been translated into multiple languages. He has been an active volunteer paramedic for more than 20 years. He is a member of the New York State Emergency Systems Council (SEMSCO) and the New York City Regional Emergency Medical Council (REMSCO) and serves as chair of its Ambulance Subcommittee. In 2000, he was honored by the Regional Emergency Medical Services Council as New York City's Paramedic of the Year.
