Richard Magliozzo recieved his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Hunter College. He did his postdoctoral training at Columbia University, Department of Biochemistry, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology and Department of Physiology and Biophysics. He is the Levy-Kosminsky Professor in Physical Chemistry (2004-10).

Areas of Expertise:
Magliozzo teaches undergraduate Biochemistry 1 and 2, and some graduate courses. His expertise lies in physical biochemistry of metalloproteins and metalloenzymes, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, rapid reaction kinetics (optical stopped-flow and rapid freeze-quench methods).
